Sarah Wetenhall

My Story
Sarah Wetenhall is the Owner, President, and CEO of The Colony Hotel, the iconic Palm Beach landmark she and her husband, Andrew Wetenhall, acquired in 2016. Under her leadership, the historic 1947 property—widely known as the “Pink Paradise”—has been thoughtfully restored and reimagined into one of the country’s most celebrated luxury boutique hotels, recognized for its distinctive blend of classic Palm Beach charm and modern hospitality.
Prior to entering the hospitality industry, Sarah built a successful career in luxury fashion public relations and marketing, working with internationally recognized brands including Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabbana, and HUGO BOSS. Her background in branding, design, and guest experience has played a key role in shaping The Colony’s vibrant identity and international appeal.
A graduate of Vanderbilt University, Sarah earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary and Special Education. She is widely recognized for her creative vision, entrepreneurial leadership, and dedication to preserving the character and cultural legacy of Palm Beach while bringing a fresh, contemporary perspective to luxury hospitality.
In addition to her work at The Colony, Sarah expanded her hospitality portfolio with the acquisition of The Hedges Inn in 2025. She and her family divide their time between Palm Beach, New York, and Sag Harbor.
